Join us on an Addo Elephant National Park and Cheetah tracking walking safari all rolled into one exclusive safari
A tour/safari of Addo Elephant National Park and Cradock Mountain Zebra National park. 2 national parks in one tour.
Spend the 1st day at the Orange Elephant on the border of the Addo Elephant National Park and head off to the Addo Elephant Park for a game drive to spot the famous Addo Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Black Rhino and Spotted Hyena among lots of other animals.
Depart Addo Park at around 2-3pm and head north for about 2 1/2 hours to the town of Cradock , where we stay overnight in a B&B in the town. Here we have a choice of dinners. Braai at the BnB, Restaurant or just a lazy take out delivered to our door.
We leave town early the next morning, after a good nights rest, to get to the National Park to start the walking safari where we track wild cheetah on foot. We start off with an open jeep game drive around Cradock Park to look for the Cape Mountain Zebra, Black Rhino, Eland, Gemsbok and the elusive Brown Hyena. There is always a chance of seeing the Lion, Buffalo and the rare and endangered Black Rhino.
Once we are done spotting all the animals we can find, we return to overnight at the Orange Elephant before you head off on the rest of your holiday.
MEALS:
We have dinner at the BnB in their small onsite restaurant, or a close by traditional South African Steakhouse. We can also be lazy and have take-outs delivered to our door.
The Cradock area is well known for the amazing quality Karoo meat and other traditional dishes they serve.
Vegetarian folk are also catered for.
On the walking safari we track the illusive Wild Cheetah through the Cradock Mountain Zebra Park with a Park ranger with the use of a telemetry collar radio.
We have chosen this park for the package as the cheetah are not on a lead or in cages. You cannot pet them approach them or interact with them in any way.
This is a National Park incentive as it aids the rangers in the identification and research done on the movements of the cheetah through the park.
Please remember that these are wild cheetah and you are on foot, so DO NOT RUN………
Shuttles:
People that arrive at the Orange Elephant in their own car get a free night extra on the day of arrival.
The free shuttle will collect you in Port Elizabeth between 07H00 and 07H30 the morning your safari starts. All you need to do is tell us where you are staying.

NOT INCLUDED:
Lunch, Dinners, Drinks, personal items and snacks etc.
THINGS TO BRING:
Binoculars, hat, Swimming costume, Drinks of your choice Addo 2 Park Safaris, good pair of hiking shoes or boots. Flipflops are not recommended for the cheetah tracking.
