The Orange Elephant is going GREEN. We have started building Traditional huts with "whattle and daube" For those who dont know... Clay and Cowshit. These are build with poles and reeds then covered in the mixture of clay and cowshit. All the materials are reclaimed from scrap yards and old buildings that have been demolished.
The new showers are build from all reclaimed materials. The hot water is provided by solar in the summer and a wood fired boiler in the winter. Wood comes from the citrus orchards in the area thus being a sustainable resource.
Overland Truck Stop nearly completed.

Future Plans.
In the near future we are getting a game viewing vehicle for guided trips into the Addo National Elephant Park...Watch this space.

Stargazing coming soon. We are going to be doing stargazing soon at the OE. A Meade LX 90 telescope is used. The telescope is strong enough to see the moons of Jupiter and the rings of Saturn. Booking is essential.
